The Ross County Middle School Quiz Bowl competition sponsored by Ross-Pike ESD was held on April 1, 2023. Southeastern was the Champion with Zane Trace as the runner-up and Chillicothe finished in third place. Congratulations to all the teams!
Ross-Pike Educational Service District invites course proposals for “College for Kids” 2023, a summer enrichment program for students in the Pike County and Waverly City Schools. We are searching for teachers and others who have earned at least a bachelor's degree, have a current background check, and are interested in taking a creative approach to enrichment education. If you are interested in developing a course proposal, please do via the google form QR code link, and submit it by Friday, April 14, 2023. Both our Piketon and Chillicothe offices will be closing at 2:00pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 through Monday, January 16, 2023. We will re-open on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 8:00am.

The Chillicothe office of the Ross-Pike ESD will be closing at 2:00pm on November 23, 2022 and will re-open Monday, November 28, 2022.
The Piketon office of the Ross-Pike ESD will be closing at 2:00pm on November 23 and will re-open Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
The Piketon and Chillicothe offices of the Ross-Pike ESD will be closing at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 10 and will be closed all day Friday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day.
The Chillicothe office of the Ross-Pike ESD will be closed to the public, Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Please visit our Piketon office if you need assistance.
Gifted students from Western and Piketon recently completed a unit of study on the judicial system including types of trials, and duties associated with the court, and today they traveled to Chillicothe and Columbus to see how our judicial system works in person! They began the day at the Ross County Probate and Juvenile Court with Judge Benson. From there they traveled to the Ohio Supreme Court for a tour and mock trial and then to the State House for a tour. What a wonderful experience for these gifted students!
Pike County Masters of Music gifted musicians in grades K-6 attended The Cincinnati Children's Theatre Production of Descendants the Musical on October 12, 2022. Our Pike County Gifted Teachers organized this experience for our young musicians who are identified as gifted in the area of performing arts. We would like to thank our Pike County school districts for their continued support of this program, the arts, and our talented youth!
