Ross-Pike ESD will be conducting interviews throughout the summer for para-professional positions in Ross and Pike Counties.  Locations include Adena, Huntington, Southeastern, Unioto, Zane Trace, Pickaway-Ross CTC, Pioneer, Eastern, Scioto Valley, Waverly, Western, Pike County CTC, and Pike County DD.  The first step in the process is to complete a job application to have on file for when a position becomes available.  All preschool paraprofessional positions (classroom aide, classroom attendant, one-on-one attendant) are considered part-time at four days a week (Monday-Thursday).  School-age para-professional positions (classroom aide and one-on-one attendant) are considered full time positions (Monday-Friday).  One-on-one attendants only work and get paid for the days the student attends school.

Qualifications:  High school diploma, able to pass a background check, 48 semester hours (72 quarter hours) or the ability to pass the ParaPro Exam (basic reading and math), ability to lift students, willingness to address toileting needs for students, excellent attendance, ability to follow directions, positive attitude.


One-on-One attendant:  Pioneer School, Jasper Elementary Multiple Disability classroom, Piketon High School Multiple Disability Classroom, Mt. Logan Preschool, Unioto Preschool, Jasper Cross Categorial Classroom, Huntington Kindergarten, Pike County Career Technical Center

Aide Position:  South Central Ohio Juvenile Detention Facility
