Superintendent's Message
March 18, 2009
I recall a quote of, “The unsighted will see where the sighted are blind.” I do not remember the author, but I do remember the context. It involved a conversation concerning the interpretation of an event that was very evident to those who didn’t attend while those who did could not make sense of what had happened.
I was recently asked by one of our constituents, “What is it you actually do at the service center?” I was rather taken aback because the person posing the question is an employee in one of our schools. That question has prompted a brief listing of what it is we do for the districts and other agencies we serve.

In addition our office has developed partnerships with the Ross and Pike County Juvenile Court System, Job and Family Services, Ross and Pike County Family Children First Council, Integrated Service Systems, Ross County Cluster and the Ohio Department of Education, through which services are delivered in a manner that is cost effective for the staff and students of our area.
We do anything within our power and ability to meet the needs of staff and students in our member districts, our collaborative partners and other governmental agencies. We do this in a manner that provides those services which would be unaffordable to each district alone. Contact us today for a complete listing of services and programs or if there are ways in which we can help. Our goal is to “Serve the Heart of Southern Ohio.”
