Pike LEADership Institute
The Pike LEADership Institute for grades 9-10 is designed to develop and enhance the natural tendencies of gifted students toward leadership. Thirty students participated in 4 days of training to learn about various leadership styles and skills needed for leadership; to take part in exercises for self-evaluation and determination of leadership strengths and weaknesses; to experience team building exercises by working together and overcoming personal fears; and finally to practice servant leadership through community service projects. Pictured are students from 3 high schools serving their community on day 4.
